Alleged Role with Militant Group The defendant was allegedly an operative of the National Resistance Brigades, the armed branch of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, according to the legal filing filed by the FBI. He is accused of coordinating a "group of militants" to cross into Israel after learning about the raid and requested one individual to "carry the rifles", court documents indicate. The suspect dispatched messages instructing others to bring a bulletproof vest for a different individual and ammunition, prosecutors allege. Hours after the 7 October attack began, his phone pinged a signal tower near Kibbutz Kfar Aza, the sight of a deadly event, the documents said. Legal Proceedings and Response The legal document said that Mr al-Muhtadi rejected ever having been involved in terrorist activities on his American visa application.
